What you should know about Britanie Ridge Estates, the affordable alternative

If you've been looking for acreage property in the Elizabeth and Elbert County, Colorado areas you've probably encountered two extremes: expensive developments like Wild Pointe Ranch and on the low-end side "wilderburbia." With Wild Pointe you'll find very nice homes on rolling hills in very close proximity to a Walmart Supercenter. You'll also find very high metro fees and restrictive covenants.

On the other hand is "wilderburbia": decent to not-so-decent homes on dirt roads (passable in good weather) and utilities available on a "catch-as-catch-can" basis. Often with no covenants, so if your neighbor decides to turn his front yard into a junkyard, well that's just another reason they call it wilderburbia.

The affordable alternative

At Britanie Ridge you'll find paved roads inside the neighborhood and on roads leading to the development. You'll find electricity, natural gas, water, phones and high speed Internet are directly available. The lots are five acres, some treed and many on rolling hills with Front Range views. We have reasonable covenants that allow you a good measure of freedom, while still protecting your property values.

Our builder is SunWest Homes

You'll find their homes are well-crafted, energy-efficient, well-appointed with marble countertops, wood and tile floors, and featuring spacious, open floor plans. Here's the big surprise: Currently, you can buy a very nice, 3,000 square foot plus home for under $500K. Don't wait though, home prices and mortgage rates are rising.

Elbert County, a hidden treasure

The area is noted for his rolling hills and surprising number of trees; we're on the north-most end of the Black Forest region. Front Range views, low crime and low taxes, fresh air, good schools, and a night sky that is truly wondrous thanks to the lack of light pollution; it's all part of Elbert County living. Yet, you'll find we're an easy commute to Castle Rock, Parker, and the Denver Tech Center. Plus, you don't have to go far for shopping, we're just a few minutes from Elizabeth where you'll find shopping including a Safeway supermarket, a Walmart Supercenter, and an eclectic mix of unique shops in historic downtown Elizabeth.
